first opened its gates to the celebrating public as one of the country’s most sought after wedding and special events venues in Texas and beyond, included as one of the ‘World’s 100 Hottest New Venues of 2016’ by the Venue Report. Over the next eight years, KRR hosted hundreds of successful weddings & celebrations, earning sweeping 5-star reviews with each client and across every platform.

built and operated King River Ranch after moving to the Texas Hill Country from his native Los Angeles with his two sons, Willem and Aidan, also the namesakes of his career. Willem-Aidan was the event & floral design company that designed for such notable events as the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, the Cannes Film Festival, named ‘hottest floral designer in Hollywood’ by InStyle and L.A. Confidential, featured in ‘Flowers That Wow’ by celebrity interior designer Jonathan Fong, and was exclusive designer for the global brand Audi for many years, from Carmel to Grand Cayman, before his dream of opening his own venue became a reality in 2016. The following years were among the happiest of his life, spent on the ranch where his most improbable journey from Hollywood to the Hill Country led him to. And his decades in events and event design proved time and time again to be a crucial element that created the perfect venue for countless happy clients.

  • .Unfortunately, David Hahn, the owner of KRR, had to return to California to be with his elderly mother during the Covid Pandemic and decided to remain there after the quarantine was over. Although we continued to host many successful weddings and celebrations after his departure, it was decided in his absence that hosting smaller gatherings were favorable to large-scale events.

  • We do not offer floral services at this time, although our many years of experience in events is always an available resource for our clients to make planning your event as easy as possible.

  • It could be the quarter mile of Pedernales Riverfront to explore, or lying in bed in the Honeymoon Suite gazing at deer crossing the river, or the number of wineries at a stone’s throw in every direction… but most people will probably say it is the many animals that greet every guest. Our beloved horses, miniature donkeys and sheep are the heart of the ranch.
